Peabody faculty members supervise Monday through Thursday from 3:15 p.m. Abadir.In response to the need of many of our students to have some structured time for homework between school and an after-school activity (e.g., music lessons, sports, etc.), we offer an after-school study hall (Homework Club). If you think your child would benefit from attending HWC or if you have any questions please contact Mrs.If it becomes necessary to pick up a student early the parent/guardian should go to the office so the student can be signed out and the HWC advisor can release the student.If a student needs to leave HWC early on a random day, the student should bring a signed note to the HWC Advisor indicating what time the student needs to leave.If a note is not available the student will be held in HWC until 3:30PM. Students are not released from HWC until 3:30PM.Parents may contact the school counselor for more information about their student’s attendance and/or progress. The school counselors have access to the students’ logs and monitor the students’ accomplishments. Students are asked to complete a HWC Log listing what homework was completed each afternoon of attendance. Parents are not called if a child does not attend on any given afternoon. Attendance is taken each afternoon, however, attendance is voluntary and it is the responsibility of the student to go to HWC.HWC is announced during Daily Announcements each morning.If it is a delayed opening HWC typically runs. If there is an early dismissal day HWC is not run. HWC typically runs 3 days a week - Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.This gives them plenty of time to go to their locker, gather their items and get to the library. They are expected in the IMC between 2:30 – 2:40. Students are welcome to attend any or all of the sessions each week.
